Universal Health Care Critique


1 head lettuce (iceberg or romaine)


1 T soy sauce

2 T oyster sauce

1 tsp sugar

Other ingredients:

1 T sesame oil

1 slice ginger, minced

1 C refried beans

1 garlic clove, minced

2 green onions, chopped

1 pound sliced chicken meat

1 red pepper, seeded and diced

4 slices of bread

1 T butter

1 can water chestnuts

1 stalk celery, diced

1 tsp cornstarch and 2 T water

Wash and separate lettuce leaves.  Set aside.  Mix sauce ingredients.  Spread butter onto bread slices.  Set aside.  Heat sesame oil in frying pan on high; add garlic, ginger, and green onions.  Fry until aromatic.  Add chicken, cook until browned.  Remove from pan and set aside.  Add pepper, chestnuts, and celery to pan. Add sauce, cook at medium heat.  Add cornstarch and water.  When thick, add chicken.  Cook 2-3 more minutes.

Needs more soy sauce, less peppers, and more time cooking with the sauce.
